The main criticisms I found are that 1. the ending made very little sense, in particular Kim Ki-taek's decision to stab Park Dong-ik, 2. that the class conscious message was tainted because our poor family is not virtuous and our rich family is not irredeemable, and 3. that the characters were poorly constructed, the rich being too naive to actually represent real rich people and the poor being too cunning given their initial seeming incompetence. The goal is to shock not to create real art. I definitely don't mind people disliking something but a lot of people just copy and paste the same flawed arguments (almost verbatim) instead of taking the time to come up with their own opinions. :::Alerta de Spoiler::: After 10 minutes I was ready to leave "Parasite" but I can count on one hand how many movies I have walked out on so I decided to stay and find out why word of mouth was being so positive about the film. Kim Ki-taek is a full character, and his motivation for that moment begins well before hand, based on the concept of "crossing the line". I couldn't take it seriously from that point on. Then to listen to that same employer who has effectively claimed that you are less than him by virtue of your position in society get off on the idea of his wife being some drug addicted prostitute, fantasizing about your daughter's panties.
